Earlier this month, our company announced we had acquired Metro Title Services out of Lenexa, Kansas. Although MetroGistics started as a vehicle transport company, we’ve broadened our scope in recent years into new areas. This move, along with the acquisition earlier this year of AmeriFleet, expands our capabilities and better positions us as a one-stop shop for vehicle lifecycle services. While many of our clients are familiar with Metro Title Services – they are the number one title, registration and aligned compliance services company in the country – we recognize that many of you may not know them.
As we welcome the leadership team and staff of Metro Title Services to the MetroGistics family, we’d like to tell you more about their history and operations. Metro Title Services was established in 1981 to provide license and title expertise mainly in the Kansas City market. The business grew and was sold to two brothers, Barry and Eric Kaseff, in 1995.
The Kaseffs had a vision of expanding the company’s scope to the national level, and developed a proprietary software solution that propelled the company to new levels of technological and business success. The software spurred additional growth and helped the company expand its dedicated team of experts from four employees to around 60. Many of the staff have previous experience working for the DMV, auto dealerships or financial institutions.
Today Metro Title Services’ staff works with more than 2,200 government licensing jurisdictions across all 50 states, Puerto Rico and Canada, and processes an average of 1,000 transactions daily, including titles and registrations, renewals, replacement credentials, repo/bonded/salvage titles, corrections and refunds.
