The Importance of Doing a Complete Vehicle Inspection

As a consumer there are many important questions we ask ourselves when deciding to choose the right transportation company. How much will it cost? How long will the transport take? An important factor you will consider is the safety of your vehicle. You want to make sure your car or truck arrives in the same condition at destination as from when it left at origin. In the transportation world there are a few steps to ensure that your vehicle will transport safely. Here are a few tips and information you will need.

1. When your vehicle arrives make sure to do a thorough inspection with the Metrogistics driver present notating any and/or all damages (nicks, scratches, dents, etc...) located on the vehicle. The driver will keep a copy of condition report as will the customer.
2. If you are not present when the vehicle is dropped the condition report will have an STI (Subject to Inspection) stamp or signature written on it. You should still do a thorough inspection on the vehicle again notating any and/or all damages located on the vehicle.
3. Take pictures! A picture is worth a thousand words and there is no better proof of a claim!
4. Valid estimate: When you have damage one thing the claims department is going to want to know is how much it will take to fix the damage sustained to your vehicle. You can get this through a dealership, body shop, etc…
